Today environmental concerns have crossed the coffee table discussions boundaries and have entered realm of our daily experiences.  Scorching heat trapped in concrete jungle or seeming unbalanced seasons brings green house effects live to us. Our kids no more hear singing sparrows. It's a shocking example of a species moving towards extinction just in less then a decade. Once again thanks to cement and concrete jungle that our cities have become. Never in the past there has been such an alarming need to take proactive positive initiatives.

Fortunately, there seems to be positive response to this call from all walks of society may it be individuals, businesses, manufacturers, planners or government departments. SUSTAINABILITY has become the key word cutting across our decisions as a consumer or user.  People have started realizing that "green options" are better for not just earth but for one's own personal well being. There is a realization that creating green cities is not just an environmentalist's job or need but it is a question of our own decisions as an individual and as a community.

Business community and manufactures of various day to day life products have responded to this changing consumer needs by offering a range of products that are eco friendly and disaster resistant. Even housing sector is also not untouched from this wave of change. Today having eco-friendly and disaster resistant building and environment combined with sustainable neighbourhood management solutions is rapidly becoming one of the key criteria for decision makers.

Thus it is need of current market to have a forum that bridges the gap between  Eco friendly and Disaster Resistant Habitat Solution providers and seekers. With this as a core concerns, Society for Environment Protection in partnership with Devdhar Trade Expo Pvt. Ltd., is coming up with a mega event called "Eco-Sarjan". The event will be held during 18^th to 20^th December 2009 at Sanskar Kendra, Paldi, Ahmedabad  and will have combination of workshops, discussion forum, products and solutions exhibition, etc.
